Val's amateur weather station was first established in May 1998 using a number of different pieces of apperatus which gave surprisingly good results.
In March 2002, this was upgraded to include a state-of-the-art digital system comprising of an indoor control unit and a number of remote outdoor sensors.These are now running in parallel with some of the older instruments.

This
is the indoor control unit which receives, stores and displays air temperature,
barometric trend, rain fall, wind speed and direction, dew point and
wind chill data plus the temperature in our pond!
