First licenced back in 1978, I upgraded to a class A license in 1980 after taking the 12 wpm morse test at Cardiff. Val now holds an Intermediate class licence after obtaining her Novice licence in 1991 when they were first introduced in the UK. Our trusty old Icom 725 was finally replaced in late 2007 with a smart new Icom 7000 - linked to the outside world via an AT7000 auto-tuner. The HM-151 microphone was modified by Bob, AB5N and I used RUMtrol software to program it's countless memories. G4HFQ's excellent FTB8900 software is used to manage the memories of our Yaesu FT8900. KC8UNJ's VX2 Commander software is used for the memory management of our Yaesu VX2 .....and surprisingly, it all works fine with the new Vista OS!
